2016 Beyond Paper: Creative Paper and Design Art Conference - February 23 - 28 Shanghai

At the invitation of the Shanghai Printing Association I participated in the Beyond Paper as a speaker and jury member in Shanghai. The entries to the competition in the categories "Book", "Packaging" and "Paper Art" were numerous and very impressive. My presentation about packaging design in Europe, trends and new demands on designers, received good feedback and a lively discussion ensued afterwards. At the final dinner we were not only able to enjoy a delicious Chinese meal but also the view of Shanghai at night. The many impressions of the mix of Asian tradition, Western influences and very impressive modern architecture will certainly continue to have an effect for a long time to come.
